What are “pelvic flaws”?

“Pelvic flaws” refer to any dysfunction regarding the pelvic floor muscles and pelvic organs. The pelvic floor is made up out of layers of muscles and other tissues that form a muscular hammock at the bottom of the pelvis.

Conditions treatable with regards to Pelvic flaws

Sexual dysfunctions

This may range from pain during sexual intercourse to poor vaginal grip.

The pelvic floor as part of the core cylinder

The pelvic floor forms the bottom part of the deepest core. Ideally it should function as one system, controlling intra-abdominal pressure and shear forces on the spine and pelvis (giving stability). When dysfunctions occur, they may lead to pelvic floor problems.

Men and pelvic flaws

Both females and males have a pelvic floor. Men are usually not aware of their pelvic floor muscles, but may also develop dysfunctions in this area.
